2012 July Update
With as much going on with the haunted attraction industry that I'm involved in, it seems I fail to update this blog more than once a year. In keeping up with tradition, this is the third year in a row attending the annual Transworld Haunted Attraction Show in St. Louis, MO. As always, the show was killer and I was able to network with many old and new haunters alike!
Let's talk goals. This season is, hands down, going to be the best show we've offered. Call me crazy, but we've revamped the entire attraction to include an all new theme, characters, sets and the all important scares!! I'm proud to say we are AHEAD of the game this year and have our shirts designed, our posters finalized and website conceptualized and near ready to go live!! What about the haunted house you ask? Well it's finished in terms of construction! Now on to detail, detail, detail!!
As it's no longer a secret, I'll venture to tell you the sick and twisted nightmarish toys have taken over the DreamWorks Toy Factory and transformed it into ScreamWorks! Pure. Mechanical. Mayhem.
I'll be updating the blog more frequently in the coming months. Only two months until we bring in talent and one more month after that until opening! Can you say psyched??!! Stay tuned...

2011 Website is LIVE!!
Wow. It has truly been over a year since my last post. When I tell you we have been doing a massive overhaul on the 2011 show...we are doing a MASSIVE overhaul on the 2011 show!! Everything is being re-done from the ground up! Our website, our storyline, our sets, EVERYTHING!! I have to say the excitement in the air is electrifying. From the end of the 2010 season we began tearing out rooms and conceptualizing for this year. Our theme was decided upon, the storyline and characters were developed then we hit the road to Transworld back in March to continue with inspiration. Upon returning we started the major portion of our overhaul and we're still moving forward, full steam ahead! The only way to truly capture the essence of the zombie voodoo manor is to come out and experience it yourself. Do yourself a favor this fall and bring everyone you know. I guarantee everyone in your group is bound to have a blast!

2010 Website is LIVE!!
Okay, I know I haven't posted since my St. Louis trip, however, I did make it back safely and I had a blast! Our 2010 site is live and has undergone a complete makeover!! The complete makeover to our site is a bit of a reflection on our attraction. Our team has thrown our all into delivering a top-notch, hollywood-style event...THE LARGEST AND MOST DETAILED the Midlands has ever seen. Enough of my ranting and raving. We're halfway through the build with only 3 months left! If you're interested in volunteering with us or becoming a sponsor, contact us through our site!

Here is to the best year ever!
Welcome to the official blog for the Cayce-West Columbia Hall of Horrors!
2010 is set to be the BEST year the Hall of Horrors has seen, ever. After visiting smaller, local haunted attractions and even the big wigs like Netherworld in Atlanta, it has given our production team even greater cause to up our show quality. Last season, the Hall of Horrors did the best we could with what we had and brought an amazing show to our loyal customers.
As the longest running charity-based haunt in Columbia, the least we can do for all of our dead-icated visitors is to up our ante. I'm excited to say, as a representative for our haunt, I will be visiting the Darkness Behind the Scenes tour in St. Louis at the end of this week. I will also be attending the 15th annual Transworld Halloween and Attractions Show. Both events are sure to provide inspiration, networking opportunities, and invaluable information we can further use to make our show outstanding! The blog will be kept up to the minute on everything I do in St. Louis. I will also try to add video to our Youtube page and upload pics as well.
If you're going to be in St. Louis, I look forward to meeting you and if you have the chance this season, swing by our haunt for the time of your life!
